During the fall holidays of 2023, we made our way to Gardaland in Italy for the first time, and it was an experience we won\u2019t forget anytime soon. With an overnight stay in one of the themed hotels right next to the amusement park and two days full of thrilling adventures, we were in for an unforgettable time. Since our visit coincided with the Halloween season and October 31st fell within the fall holidays, Gardaland was beautifully decorated in a spooky manner\u2014a true highlight for everyone who loves this special time of year. But before diving into the details, here are a few tips for anyone planning a visit to Gardaland.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Before the Trip: Download the Gardaland App<\/h3>

Before setting off, we recommend downloading the Gardaland app<\/a>. This handy app allows you to purchase tickets and subscriptions in advance, book short stays, and access useful information like opening hours, services, and attractions. During your visit, the app serves as a GPS navigator, helping you easily locate attractions, restaurants, shops, and shows. You can also keep track of the show schedule and receive reminders just before a show begins.<\/p>

Accommodation & Access to Attractions<\/h3>

We spent one night at the Gardaland Magic Hotel,<\/a> a fully themed 4-star hotel. The reception, rooms, and outdoor area of the themed hotel are charmingly decorated, creating a magical atmosphere. We opted for the “Magic Forest<\/a>” themed room and were not disappointed. The quadruple room offers plenty of space for a family and features an exciting puzzle to solve in order to open a safe with a surprise inside. In addition to the Magic Forest, there are other fascinating themed rooms like the “Magic Ice Castle<\/a>” and the “Wizard\u2019s House<\/a>.” The hotel offers a mediocre breakfast buffet and, during the summer months, access to the Blue Lagoon water area.<\/p>

There are two other hotels in the Gardaland Resort: the Gardaland Adventure Hotel<\/a>, which is similar in style to the Magic Hotel and offers four themed areas\u2014Arctic, Arabian, Jungle, and Wild West. And the slightly more expensive and larger Gardaland Hotel<\/a>, which has 2 bars, 2 restaurants, a shop, and more entertainment options during your stay.<\/p>

A large, uncovered parking lot is available free of charge for guests of all the hotels, as is the free shuttle bus that connects the hotels to Gardaland Park<\/a>, the Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium<\/a>, and the new LEGOLAND(R) Water Park<\/a>.<\/p>

Gardaland Park<\/h3>

The Gardaland Park impressed us with over 40 exciting attractions, reminding us of Disneyland Paris. From roller coasters to water rides, there is something for everyone. The Peppa Pig Land<\/a> is a highlight for younger visitors, while older kids over 140 cm tall can enjoy the many roller coasters and rides. A downside for us was the food in the park, which is expensive and focused mainly on fast food. Therefore, we recommend bringing a packed lunch and having a picnic in one of the relaxation zones. We also found the long wait times at popular attractions frustrating. To avoid this, we would consider purchasing Gardaland Express passes on our next visit (from \u20ac20 to \u20ac69 per person for 7 or more attractions), as the park admission itself (from \u20ac39 per person for one day) is not too high compared to other parks we\u2019ve visited. By the way, children under 90 cm get free entry.<\/p>

Other Highlights: Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium and LEGOLAND\u00ae Water Park<\/h3>

In addition to the amusement park, Gardaland also offers the SEA LIFE Aquarium<\/a>, featuring over 5,000 marine creatures and an impressive underwater tunnel. Children under one meter in height get free admission. Otherwise, tickets start from \u20ac9.90 for a day, and there are also combo tickets available for one day at Gardaland Park and one day at the aquarium.<\/p>

The LEGOLAND(R) Water Park<\/a> is only open during the summer months and offers a variety of water games and attractions for the whole family, including Miniland, a fully themed area that showcases Italy\u2019s most famous landmarks, built to scale with over 4 million LEGO bricks. The water park is located within the Gardaland Theme Park, and admission is only possible by purchasing a combined ticket (with an additional fee) for Gardaland Park and the LEGOLAND(R) Water Park. Children under one meter in height also enjoy free entry here.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
